This book/CD-set represents Clarence's early but fully realized acoustic guitar style, from recordings made at home for Clarence's guitar students in 1962.  The book isn't a survey of his entire career, but rather, focuses on the core elements of his early style.  The intent is to provide an entry point for intermediate players to understand and begin to play in this style, and to impart the flavor of Clarence's early musical environment.

The biography, by brother Roland White, covers the years that they lived together. Includes a two full pages of never published color family photos. Also a lengthy photo history type of slide show of the White (LeBlanc) family, Kentucky Colonels and Clarence himself. Some fine vintage video of Clarence's playing (with close-ups of his hands at work).

All in all, something here for the fan, the musician, or both.
